News & Notes

November 19, 2018

Dear Parents,

Thank you for your valuable assistance and warm response to the children’s Thanksgiving Play.  We had a wonderful time!

This is the beginning of a very busy and exciting time for all of us, and we want to let you know some of the things that we will be doing in our room so that you can share in the activities and excitement.

Attached is a Christmas tree that is designed to be a family activity.  Please decorate it in any way that you choose and return it to school by Monday, November 26th .  We will display them in the hallway for the children to enjoy.  You may decorate your tree with items you already have such as braid, ribbon, jingle bells, old jewelry, beads, glitter, popcorn, lace and buttons, etc.

We will be studying a multi-cultural unit the week of November 26-30.  The children will go to a different kindergarten teacher every day for an hour.  Each teacher will discuss a different country and have center activities related to that country.

We will be having our class winter celebration on Friday, December 14th from 1:00-2:00.

On Monday, December 17th we are going to have a Polar Express Pajama Reading in the classroom.  Please allow your child to wear their PJ’s on this day.  You may also want to send in a change of clothes for the afternoon.  During the reading students will sit in two rows of seats like the seats of a train and be handed tickets to give to a conductor.  Hot cocoa and chocolate bars will be served as refreshments.

We hope you have a wonderful holiday season!!

Sincerely,

Mrs. Shelley And Mrs. Jackson
