Something that makes BCEC and BCCI unique is our staff's dedication to getting together each Tuesday afternoon to discuss how to improve teaching and learning in our schools.
Yesterday, Mr. Justen, our curriculum coach, led teachers and counselors in a lesson on how to give and receive better feedback. This activity was done with the help of some pretty wonky paper airplanes that teachers made, launched, and provided feedback on. Mr. Summers was crowned the paper airplane champ! #changingpossibilites #BCEC #BCCI #Publicschoolproud #buncombecountyschools #weareBCS

Thank you to UNCA for hosting the BCEC first-year students this week for an information session and tour! Go Bulldogs! This tour is just the first of many experiences this group of students will have to explore colleges. One of our missions at BCEC is to help to remove barriers for underserved students to attend a four-year university. Experiences such as this field trip help our students start to think about what life after high school can look like. #changingpossibilities #weareBCS #buncombecountyschools #publicschoolproud
