This week, Weaverville Primary School (WPS) brought smiles and joy to Main Street as they participated in the school’s cherished fall walk.
Wearing their WPS T-shirts with pride, the students walked together with teachers and parents, carrying bags that local businesses and churches generously filled with treats. Principal Stephanie Stroupe shared that this tradition has been a highlight in the community for over 30 years, bringing together students, families, and community members in a lively celebration of the season.
This year’s event was especially meaningful, providing a joyful day for all after the community’s challenges following Tropical Storm Helene. Friends, families, and neighbors gathered to watch and cheer on the students as they walked through town, collecting treats and sharing laughter. The day’s festivities underscored the importance of unity and brought everyone together in a fun and memorable way, celebrating the essence of fall in Weaverville.
